Ate at Jerry's this morning and it was really good. A friend and I try different breakfast places every month and Jerry's ranks toward the top. I had their meat lovers burrito and added jalapeos for extra effect. It was delicious!

The place for breakfast in Rockford. I got the barbacoa skillet and she got the biscuits with gravy. The skillet was phenomenal and I highly recommend it. It comes with fresh jalapenos so if you don't like spicy you can take those out. The biscuits with gravy were flavorful and tasted home made. The surprise were the pancakes which came with the skillet. I didn't want to put syrup on them because it would ruin the taste. Definitely check Jerry's Cafe.

There are a variety of food options especially for those who have food allergies. I got the lobster Benedict which was pretty good. The atmosphere is like a classic diner and there is much room for seating. The servers were very kind and the food came out very very quick!

We are vegetarian, and their egg white omelet is super delicious! It includes onions, green peppers, red peppers and spinach. So good! And you can add peppers and onions to their extra crispy hash browns. My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast! Can't show a picture 'cause I ate every bite!

Was there to celebrate my friend and my birthday. Food was very good I had an omelette hash brown and swedish pancake. My only complaint was that the waitress forgot my request for sugar free syrup and by the time I got it my pancake was cold. Everyone else enjoyed their food. Plentiful and tasty and very reasonably priced.

After along morning doing the spa thang and a little Macy Perfume stop, A Gal needed a little brunch for 1, just ME TIME. A little Gem thats no soo fancy but have excellent customer service and great food, quietly displayed across the street from my Church, City First!!! Wanted a small little something and their mouth watering Shrimps & grits came to mind. Had that with biscuit and a side of bacon, and the must have lingonberry sauce, and a warm cup of coffee for sure. I enjoyed everything to the end. Ooh I did have leftover to take home. This will always be my Shrimp and Grits spot

My 1st time here... I had the meaty skillet.. $12.99 plus tax.. The food is good.... The portion size was generous... Very clean tables and chairs..

Service was a bit slow, but the food was quick. That being said, my pancakes were tender and fluffy and I didn't need syrup. Omelette was massive and packed with fillings. American fries are seasoned beautifully and have a lot of flavor. Will definitely be back

I am giving 5 stars because the food looked great, the staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The only thing I can say was first the pancakes were a bit cakey which I had seen from a few other reviews. Second my food was good but I ordered a skillet which was a make your own and there were a small amount of hash browns. I ordered a skillet with bacon, sausage and mushroom with cheddar cheese. There was a very small amount of hash browns but it was good. There was an extreme amount of bacon a few mushrooms and a few sausage. I also ordered a French vanilla cappuccino which in my opinion was powdered and had not enough water but, the fresh whip cream on top was an absolute dream. My skillet had a choice of English muffin, toast or pancakes and I chose pancakes. My son just ordered a pancake combo which consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. I tried his pancakes and took mine home. They did taste like cake almost like something in the batter doesnt make them rise when cooked. I am giving this 5 stars like I said above because it was a good breakfast and great service. There is a very large menu and very unique things to choose from.

Literally SOO good, food is amazing and the service is quick! The general atmosphere could use some work, but people are generally happy to be in there so that's a plus. There is no gap between you and the kitchen so be aware of that.

French toast, bacon, and fresh juice are some of the best we have tried in Rockford in a while. The decor is very cute and fitting of the farm vibe. The hosts were accommodating and kind. The manager and wait staff team up to ensure coffee cups are filled and everyone is satisfied. Would definitely recommend going here. The quantity and quality of the food go above the price. Portions are bigger than that of other breakfast spots yet the same price and even cheaper!

Words cannot describe the yumminess of my meal I had for breakfast but Im going to try! First of all, you tell me where in Rockford you can find shrimp and grits? Its funny how my best friend and I talked about it not too long ago how we missed that coming from VA after our time in the service. Then I decided to try Jerrys Cafe and what did I see, SHRIMP & GRITS! This plate had as you can see bacon, green onion, cilantro, melted shredded cheese in the grits with medium sized pieces of whole shrimp! The bacon is the thick sliced kind not the skimpy thin. I had the biscuit with it instead of toast but I noticed it came with a little cup of butter with a dab of honey in it! How thoughtful was that? Of course there was I believe their signature raspberry spread on the side as well. Needless to say, that meal was it for me for the rest of the day and It was exactly what I needed! I appreciated my waiter who served me that wonderful dish and provided me my styrofoam cup to take my drink to go. I had a lot of garage sales to go to since it was a beautiful day finally! The location is perfect for those who finish playing golf, with a course right up the street! Along with Rock Valley College and Guilford High a stretch away! I was seated right away without any wait so I strongly suggest you add this place to your top five list of your dives to go to!

We are from Des Moines, IA, and visiting some friends in Rockford. We went to Jerry's for breakfast. I ordered the Jerry's All Meat Skillet and I could only eat half of it. It was so full of meat that it filled me up quickly. Basically two meals in one. Delicious! I also ordered a cup of grits because I can't always find them on menus. The grits were done just right. I wish we had more restaurants in Des Moines like Jerry's. I would highly recommend a stop at Jerry's.

I love this place. It's a family restaurant with a decided Mexican influence. Great for weekend brunch. I had been to their restaurant in Beloit and was happy to see them open a place 3 minutes from my house.

Having just moved to the area I think Ive found my breakfast place! The cinnamon roll French toast is Amazing!!! The grits for not being made in the south was really good too. We've gotten delivery from here a few times now, and it's honestly one of our favorite places to eat.
It's the 4th place in town we've tried Swedish pancakes from, and theirs are, by far, the best.
The Tuscan French toast is to die for. You truly do feel like you're in Italy at a cafe in the summer when you eat it.
The skillets are delicious as well. They give more than enough food (and the pancakes are HUGE), and it's always fresh.

Food is good especially for the $. I would have given it 5 stars if I hadn't been charged 75 cents for a few onions. I know that onions are extremely cheap so when I'm charged for them I think it's petty. I would go there again but no added onions!

The door county chicken salad and half sandwich is the perfect lunch for me. However sometimes I am very tempted by the pancake special. I had pumpkin pancakes this weekend. A great thing about Jerry's is they can accommodate our group that varied from 2 two 10. It's clean and spacious.

My name is Joe Evers and I am a critic from Elgin Illinois. When I heard about Jerry's Cafe being similar to Egg Harbor, I knew I had to check the place out.

Lets start with our pros... Food is astonishing! Me personally would say there Door County chicken salad is greater than Egg Harbors! You can taste the freshness in their food, the presentation is wonderful, and the portions are very generous. The cook looks like he knows what hes doing and I give him a 5 star.

For the cons... Service looks fair, my server was guy named Cris, He looked like a good man but the way he took my order and other tables order was really awful. For starters, he came to me asking if I was ready to order. Not once had he came to my table before, so I had no drink and for it being my first time in the restaurant he goes and says Ready to order boss? What a greeting. With his other tables he would lean on the booth or sit with customers which is really unprofessional. The other waitress gave me more attention than Cris. Deya was amazing, although her English was tad off she was far a better server than Cris. There should also be a no phone policy, both servers would be on their phone. The only attentive server there was Deya, Cris apparently has to finish his text message with his lover before he pays attention to customers.

Besides all that I would say Jerrys Cafe is a great treat. Hopefully in the future the place upgrades it decoration and expands its tables because I know forsure this place will be a success. They should consider getting rid of servers like Cris, his skill is terrible. Not even the cheapest restaurants have servers like him. I hope to be back with a better review.

This is in my top three favorite breakfast places in Rockford. I can't decide what order the top three are in but it would be this place Johnny pamcakes and Gill's Diner. The Jerrys special breakfast with their awesome sausage gravy is my favorite but I also like their omelets and skillets. And the service is usually pretty quick and friendly if they're not too busy.

The corned beef was made in house and she liked it as well as the Benedict. I had the Texas Frittata. Very good. If the menu says jalapeno, they use enough to make your nose run! The space was not noisy. You could carry on a conversation without shouting. That is rare in restaurants these days.

Always a good breakfast here. Lots of unique freshly made options like their hot sauce, salsa, and jam.

Typically, I frequent Jerry's Cafe about three times a week after swimming and working out at Peak Sports. The food is good and the wait staff is attentive and friendly. The Quinoa Skillet made with the eggs poached is my favorite.

Food was delicious and service was wonderful. Will definitely go back!

First time there and it was a good four stars. Have to go back to see if it was a fluke or it really is good eating! Not fancy inside and the place is actually quite large. I had the chicken fried steak skillet that was on special and it was very rib sticking. I ate half as it was huge. My friend had the breakfast burrito which he kept saying was great and my other friend had the steak and eggs. She enjoyed hers also. Better yet this place serves Coke product which is getting harder to find. Thank you Jerry's! Oh, our waiter was very attentive too. We will be back, fair warning!

One of the best places in the Rockford area for breakfast or brunch. Generally open until 2p. Across from first Rockford church so it can get really busy after mass. Recommend the omlettes, skillets and the pancakes. Friendly staff that know you by name and greet you every time with a smile. Be sure to try the sweedish pancakes which aren't on the menu!

The food portions are generous and it is fresh homemade food. The chilaquiles are great and come with fresh fruit. A bit pricy for me to make it a regular breakfast spot but I definitely will go back often. They need to salt their lot better when it is icy as it was very slick when we went.

Having just moved to the area I think Ive found my breakfast place! The cinnamon roll French toast is Amazing!!! The grits for not being made in the south was really good too. Customer service was friendly and food was quick! We are definitely going back and I suggest everyone try this if youre in the area!

First time visit and definitely wont be my last. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. It's nice to see Mom and Pop diners are still around making good food at a decent price. Not like the chain restaurants with boring assembly line type food.

Nice place. Traditional diner breakfast menu. Reasonable prices. Service was quick and polite. Food was good. My wife had the Corned Beef Benedict. The corned beef was made in house and she liked it as well as the Benedict. I had the Texas Frittata. Very good. If the menu says jalapeno, they use enough to make your nose run! The space was not noisy. You could carry on a conversation without shouting. That is rare in restaurants these days.

Amazing food! I go weekly & great staff!

This is in my top three favorite breakfast places in Rockford. I can't decide what order the top three are in but it would be this place Johnny pamcakes and Gill's Diner. The Jerrys special breakfast with their awesome sausage gravy is my favorite but I also like their omelets and skillets. And the service is usually pretty quick and friendly if they're not too busy.

WOW! This little place has a giant breakfast menu -- and it is SO GOOD!!!! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and flavor can be compared to the finest restaurants, even though this is just a simple cafe in a strip mall (hopefully the much-too-plain decor will improve after some time goes on). Lots of unique options -- four big menu pages worth! Gourmet touches to full array of breakfasts basics, seven kinds of benedicts, twelve versions of breakfast skillets, ten styles of omelettes, plus a multitude of frittatas and scrambles. Crepes, biscuits & gravy, and YES! Swedish pancakes too :-)

Nice clean place. Went there for breakfast, lots of options. Many breakfast selections have a Hispanic flair with Jalopenos , peppers or a Spanish inclusion to the dish. There was several Spanish waitresses. All very friendly. One kept coming around even though she wasn't my server to check my coffee level. Another asked if I needed anything. They all seemed to cover each others backs . And the food was spectacular! Had a combo of biscuits & gravy with 2 eggs over easy with bacon and sausage. Didnt have to eat again till dinner time! Fluffy light biscuits with chunks of sausage in the gravy. Kinda down home like. The only problem I had, was locating this place which was in a shopping center. 5 stars all the way baby! Do go there! Your stomach will smile!

I recommend any of their skillets! Delicious options and ample portions!! This is my favorite breakfast location and I am glad they decided to add this as a second location. Friendly staff and I haven't encountered a wait to be seated! Great gluten free options!

Came here with my girlfriend's for lunch. I haven't been here since it used to be an asian restaurant. The inside still looks the same, with some changes to some decor.

Our server was very attentive to our table & ensured we kept getting refilled with our beverages. From the reviews, I've heard the portions were pretty big for the price & they were right! My friend even got a half sandwich with soup & salad & her half sandwich was like the size of a whole sandwich.

I ended up playing it safe & getting the traditional breakfast & it was more than enough. My other friend couldn't even finish her meal & the plan was to share the French toast. I was able to eat at least half of out. We opted to try it with the nutella and bananas, it was yummy!

I could see this spot being around for a while as long as their portions stay the same & is reasonably priced. I plan to come back on a different occasion to try something else out.

Rockford has a great many establishments that serve a quality breakfast. This establishment is not unlike any number of small diners and would be easy to overlook due to it's unassuming appearance. To do so would be a mistake at your expense. In the otherwise very ordinary diner, you will find food of superior quality notably lacking in locations of similar appearance. In addition to the best breakfast skillets I have had the pleasure of eating in the area, there is home made hot sauce available to complement an already superior meal. Prices are competitive despite offering a superior product compared to the often more expensive competition.The coffee and service provided further separates this establishment from the large pack of similar places competing for your business. The decor is truly the only average thing about this otherwise exemplary morning destination.

Nothing really stood out to me but their variety gives them an extra star. I ordered chilaquiles with chicken expecting the shredded stuff and it ended up being the pre-cut processed stuff you buy in a frozen bag and reheat so that was a bummer because the rest was decent. The eggs were cooked perfectly and they had a good fruit cup that wasn't all honeydew. Also they have a LOT of healthier options for those eating light. Overall not a bad place for breakfast.

Pretty good place. Met family for breakfast, everything looked wonderful, got rave reviews from everyone (7 people), I only had tea & a cinnamon roll this time but DO plan on going back soon. It's a small, cozy place in a good location, tons of parking space, very nice employees, generous portions, good menu with a wide variety of dishes. Don't miss this one!

Very nice local cafe. We have been there a few times for breakfast where they have a large variety of good choices. Food and service was both quick and good. Nice walk for us so we will be back.

This place has good food and large portions. The coffee doesn't taste the best but the servers keep it filled. Prices area a little higher than other breakfast joints but not bad. They have breakfast burritos--which more breakfast restaurants should have. Pay at the table, not the register.
